Truls Moregard is only 19 years old. Now, he becomes the superstar in table tennis. You will remember this name. He is the young generation from Europe who can compete with the top Chinese players.

It could be the great comeback of one of the strongest nations in table tennis, Sweden. Many players compared Truls Moregard with the greatest player of all time, Jan-Ove Waldner. Many players don’t agree with this. They said that Truls Moregard is far from Jan-Ove Waldner. He is a lot of variation, but he needs to learn the behavior from Waldner.

There is the incident of Truls Moregard. He is using the Stiga new racket. It is the hexagon shape, the Stiga Cybershape racket. It’s a great table tennis racket to throw. Hahaha. I’m just kidding.

It’s not just Moregard’s all-action exploits that have drawn attention to his new Stiga bat.

But this is not the first time that Truls Moregard throws his racket. He is too easy to be angry. Or maybe he is still young?
Truls’s performance at WTTC 2021
He has great performance at this World Table Tennis Championships. He is ranked only 77th position on the World Ranking. But he defeated many top players, including Timo Boll, Patrick FRANZISKA, Quadri ARUNA.
With this wonderful performance, he has jumped 46 positions on the World Table Tennis ranking. It’s amazing for a 19 years old player.

In the first round of the tournament, he defeated Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh 4-0, then Chinese Taipei’s 20th seed Chuang Chih-Yuan, Germany’s 10th seed Patrick Franziska (13-11 in the decider), and South Korea’s unseeded Lim Jonghoon, who came back from 3-0 down to win. He is ranked 76th in the world.

A 4-2 win over 13th seed Quadri Aruna of Nigeria was followed by a semi-final defeat over eighth seed Timo Boll in which Moregard rallied from two games behind to beat the German superstar in yet another decider.
In the final match, Truls lost to Fan Zhendong.
