Truls Möregardh (born February 16, 2002, in Växjö) is a table tennis player from Sweden. In 2018, he earned bronze with the Swedish team at the World Team Table Tennis Championships, and in 2019, he won bronze with the Swedish team at the European Table Tennis Championships.

He earned silver in the Men’s single event at World Table Tennis Championships in 2021. It is one of the best performances so far of Truls Moregard.
Truls Moregard’s playing style
He is a right-handed attacking style. Many players compared Truls’s playstyle with Waldner because Truls uses a lot of backhand block, and backhand chop’s block. Truls has a unique close to the table playing style.

He is right-handed and holds his racket in the European shakehand technique.

Junior’s competition
Moregard has also had success at the youth level, finishing second in boys’ singles at both the 2017 and 2018 World Junior Championships, both in Riva del Garda, Italy. And he also retained his Swedish Open Junior and Cadet Open crown in 2019 as well as the European Youth Championships junior boys’ singles title.

From a young age, the Swede was regarded as a wonderful talent. In 2016, he had his first international success. He is a two-time European student champion and a one-time European youth champion.

Junior World Champion

He was junior vice world champion in 2017 and 2018, and he was eligible to compete at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, where he reached the quarter-finals in an individual competition. Swedish National Team
He finished fourth as a member of the team. From 2018, he began competing in adult competitions on a regular basis, with major successes including bronze medals in the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 European Table Tennis Championships.
He won the Swedish title in 2019 after defeating Kristian Karlsson in the final. He transferred from Eslövs to the Japanese club TT Saitama the same year.
He won the Swedish championship again in 2021, defeating Anton Källberg in the final.
At WTTC 2021
Truls Moregard has a great performance. In the first round of the tournament, he defeated Egypt’s Ahmed Saleh 4-0, then Chinese Taipei’s 20th seed Chuang Chih-Yuan, Germany’s 10th seed Patrick Franziska (13-11 in the decider), and South Korea’s unseeded Lim Jonghoon, who came back from 3-0 down to win. He is ranked 76th in the world.
A 4-2 win over 13th seed Quadri Aruna of Nigeria was followed by a semi-final defeat over eighth seed Timo Boll in which Moregard rallied from two games behind to beat the German superstar in yet another decider.

Truls Moregard of Sweden, using an eye-catching hexagonal bat, has surprised many by making it all the way to the World Championships men’s singles final. In the final, he lost to Fan Zhendong.
