Coach Qin Zhijian (Chinese: 秦志戬) is considered one of the best table tennis coaches in this decade!
Qin Zhijian, Retired as a player in 2005. Took on the role as Ma Long’s coach in 2006, then later Xu Xin too and then becoming a national team coach.

Coach Qin didn’t apply for the head coach position of CNT on 29 Dec 2022, and has hence retired from the Chinese national team. Not sure what his future endeavors would be, but he surely will be missed.

Coach Qin, born in 1976 (age 46) gave his entire youth to table tennis, paid the price with his aging and grey hair, but can be the proudest teacher with Ma Long and Xu Xin.
