In the WTT Doha Star Challenge, Aruna defeated three Chinese national players (Liu Dingshuo, Zhao Zihao and Zhou Qihao) in a row. This is the first time, that a non-Chinese players has defeated the 3 Chinese players in a row in the WTT event.
Quadri Aruna is a top table tennis player from Nigeria. He played in the Olympics in 2012 and 2016. His huge forehand, which almost no one can handle, gets people excited. Quadri Aruna has been using the German brand Gewo since 2019.

His best record is the ranking 10th on the WTT World ranking. He is the best African table tennis players because he is the only player who is ranked in the best top 10 players in the world.
Quadri Aruna is out of the ITTF World Table Tennis Championships Finals after losing to Sweden’s Truls Moregard in the quarterfina. He became the first African in the history of the tournament to reach the quarterfinal.
“It’s very important to me, especially for Nigeria and all of Africa,” he said. Africa is making a lot of progress in table tennis. We now have a few players in the Top 100,” Aruna said.
