Jia Nan Yuan playing style and equipment. Chinese-born French table tennis player Jia Nan Yuan (born May 11, 1985, in Zheng Zhou, China) is one of the best players in the world. She became a French citizen in 2011 after being naturalized. Emmanuel Lebesson and Jia Nan Yuan earned a bronze medal in mixed doubles at EURO 2021.

She is currently ranked #1 in France. With a sharp toss of the ball and an exceptionally high serve, her game is marked. Her serve has a strong spin because she leverages the ball’s weight to do so, allowing her to more easily seize control of the game.

The flat punches she uses allow her to finish the rally strongly. She was also a member of the French team ProA at the Saint-Berthevin club.

She was playing in Poitiers, France pro team since 2014.

Jia Nan Yuan Playing style

Jia Nan Yuan is a French table tennis player of Chinese origin playing in the French Pro table tennis championship. Naturalized French in 2011, she won the French singles championships in 2012. In 2013, thanks to her game characterized by her extremely high ball throw at the service and with her partner Aurore Dessaint, she became French champion in women’s doubles.

Yuan Jia Nan is a feminine variant of Falck. She only lost in the last game to Suh Hyowon, who is ranked 21st in the ITTF. She has risen 20 places in the ITTF rankings following the WTT Doha tournaments and is now ranked 86th. In addition, she was a top seed in the mixed doubles category alongside Emmanuel Lebesson.

French championships

The French Singles Table Tennis Championship has been won by Jia Nan Yuan five times since 2012. A year later, in 2013, she was crowned French Women’s Doubles Champion.

As a singles player, she finished runner-up three times (2011, 2013, 2016), as well as third three times in women’s doubles competition (2016, 2018, 2019). In doubles, she finished third in 2015.

In the following years, she was crowned French champion in singles 4 times. In mixed doubles, Jia Nan Yuan and her partner Emmanuel Lebesson are in the World Top 10. In singles, she ranked 95th in the world in March 2021. Thanks to her results, the dream came true for Poitevine, in Tokyo, she took part in her first Olympic Games.

This year, she and Stephanie LOEUILLETT won the ITTF Challenge Spanish Open, Gualajaro (Spain) for women’s doubles. The Austrian Open and Emmanuel Lebesson won bronze in mixed doubles at the 2019 ITTF World Tour Platinum Super.

She and Emmanuel Lebesson won the 2020 ITTF Challenge Plus Portugal Open in mixed doubles in 2020. LOEUILLETT Stephanie and Emmanuel Lebesson made it to the quarterfinals at the 2020 ITTF World Tour Platinum Qatar Open. A personal quarterfinal appearance at the 020 ITTF Challenge Plus Oman Open was achieved.

Once again, she qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in April of the following year (April 2021).

WTT Contender and Emmanuel Lebesson won the mixed doubles final at the WTT Middle East Hub in 2021.

Emmanuel Lebesson and Stéphanie Loeuillette won bronze medals in mixed doubles at the 2020 European Table Tennis Championships (2021).

She made it to the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics mixed doubles with Emmanuel Lebesson in 2021 but ended up finishing in fourth place.
