Listen to the sound of ping pong ball will help you sleep well. Here is the meditation for table tennis player.
Hi, this is the voice of table tennis. Table tennis talk. And I’m EmRatThich, a table tennis coach in France.
Happiness with the sound of ping pong
∎ Page Contents ∎
I made this podcast for a friend of mine. He has a hard time sleeping. When I see this photo, I’m very happy to hear the sound of ping pong.
So maybe, the sound of table tennis for 60 minutes, will help him sleep better. To this meditation for sleep first I’d like to invite you to get comfortable in a position that’s restful relaxed and cozy.
Relax and close your eye
Close your eye, turn off the monitor. The light from the monitor will stop you to sleep well.
But listen to the ping pong sound. And take a nice slow deep breath in deeper than you’ve taken all day so far and as you do gently let your eyes close.
1 hour hearing the ping pong sound to sleep better
Watch this guide meditation for better sleep:
Watch this video.
Think that you are the small table tennis ball on the table. Let you be free. Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Koki Niwa will spin you everywhere.
And as you exhale feel all of the air. Leave your body taking another deep.
Playing table tennis is healthy. You need to sleep for the next day. Breath even deeper than the one before it and at the top of the breath see if you can notice the stillness that exists.
Focus on your breath
And exhaling it out at the bottom of the breath see if you can notice the stillness there as well.
Keep breathing this way noticing this natural stillness that exists at the top and the bottom of your breath.
Don’t force. Relax. Think that you are the small little ping pong ball on the table. Here this sound. Very relax, right?
Allowing it to ground you into the present moment and using it to begin distill your energy.
Do you know the power from the ground concept. If yes, congratulation, it’s the main force in table tennis.
I’m EmRatThich, your table tennis coach since 2012. I’m happy with that.
Be free like the ball
Giving yourself permission right now to let go of everything else you are concerned with before we started.
There’s nowhere else you need to be there’s nothing else you need to be.
Doing give your mind permission right now to wind down and rest.
Continue to take slow deep breaths and as you do feel the journey of your breath through your entire body weaving in and out of every muscle and every cell from the top of your head all the way down to the tips of your toes.
Noticing any places where you may be holding stress or anxiety.
Noticing any areas that might be sore or tight and begin to breathe into them.
Think about the best moment
Think about your victory, the moment that you smile in table tennis.
Think about your racket. But don’t be equipment junkie. Don’t buy more racket. Buy only 1 racket, like you have only 1 wife.
Unfurl your brow, unclench your jaw open your palms.
Noticing any other places in your body, where you still may be holding tension.
And breathing into it allowing that breath to release it in giving that tension permission to let go.
And now return your breath to its normal rhythm and pattern but keep your focus on it allowing it to be your anchor as you fall asleep.
Sweet dreams, I mean not wet dream. Sweet dream will full of rotation, like a ping pong ball. You need the rotation, spin in this sport.
Without spin, you are the amateur. With spin, you are the world champion.
I’m EmRatThich, and good night.
Now we’re going to set an intention for the kind of sleep we want.
Forget the past
Often we lay in bed worried about not getting enough sleep or not getting good sleep but what we focus on expands so to put it another way the more we focus on something the more we experience it so we’re going to avoid focusing on what we don’t want and instead in this moment.
I invite you to set a positive intention for the kind of sleep that you do one.
Asleep that’s peaceful, restful, deep and relaxing.
Relax, hit the ball, and then relax. Sleep, wake up and then sleep. Table tennis is like your life. You need to be relax. You are too tense. Not good.
Listen to me. Relax more. Drop your fingers.
Table tennis is like the chess. Be smart!
Have a good night.
Be like water
Before we start this meditation for sleep, I’d like to ask you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down.
And take a slow, deep breath, one that is deeper than any other you’ve taken all day. As you do this, gently close your eyes.
Think of yourself as the small ball on the table tennis table. Free yourself. You will be spun around by Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, and Koki Niwa.
And as you let all the air out, feel it all. Let your body take a deep breath.
Table tennis is good for you. You need to sleep to be ready for tomorrow. Take a breath that is even deeper than the last one, and try to notice the stillness at the top of the breath.
And when you let it out, try to notice the stillness at the bottom of the breath.
Keep breathing this way and notice how the top and bottom of your breath are naturally still.
Don’t push. Relax. Think of yourself as a small ping-pong ball on the table. Listen to this. Nice and easy, right?
Power from the ground
Let it bring you back to the present and use it to start separating your energy.
Do you know about the idea of “power from the ground”? If so, that’s great, because it’s the most important thing in table tennis.
Since 2012, I’ve been your table tennis coach. I’m happy with that.
Right now, give yourself permission to let go of everything else that was bothering you before we started.
You don’t need to be anywhere else, and you don’t need to be anywhere else.
Doing this, you’re telling your mind it’s okay to slow down and rest right now.
Continue to take slow, deep breaths, and as you do, feel your breath moving through every muscle and cell in your body, from the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
Figuring out where you might be holding stress or worry.
Notice any tight or painful spots and start to breathe into them.
Think about the time you won at table tennis and were happy.
Think about how you play. But don’t be equipment junkie. Don’t buy any more. Only buy one racket, just like you only have one wife.
Open your palms
Open your palms, relax your jaw, and relax your forehead.
Taking note of any other parts of your body where you might still be holding tension.
And putting air in it letting that breath release it is like telling that tension to let go.
Now, bring your breath back to its normal rhythm and pattern, but keep your attention on it as you fall asleep. Let it be your anchor.
Sweet dreams, I mean not wet dream. Like a ping-pong ball, your sweet dream will be full of turns. In this sport, you need to turn and spin.
If you don’t have a spin, you’re the amateur. With spin, you’re the best in the world.
Good night, my name is EmRatThich.
We’re going to decide what kind of sleep we want next.
We often worry that we won’t get enough or good sleep, but what we focus on grows. To put it another way, the more we think about something, the more we experience it, so we’re going to stop thinking about what we don’t want and instead focus on what we do.
I want you to make a good plan for the kind of sleep you want to get.
Sleep that is quiet, deep, peaceful, and relaxing.
Unwind, hit the ball, and then unwind again. Sleep, wake up and then sleep. Your life is like a game of table tennis. You need to calm down. You’re too nervous. Not good.
Listen to me. Relax more. Put your hands down.
The game of table tennis is like chess. Be smart!
Have a nice evening.
See you in the next podcast if you can’t sleep. If you sleep well, then practice table tennis the next day.
All the best for you.
