As far as German Bundesliga teams go, Borussia Düsseldorf is the most successful of all time. In 1961, the club won its first Bundesliga championship. Table tennis stars like Timo Boll, Vladimir Samsonov (retired), Dimitrij Ovtcharov, and many others have won numerous titles in Germany and abroad.

New beginning Borussia Düsseldorf! Three years after the last triple, Timo Boll’s team won three titles in one season.

Anton Källberg, who won 40 games in 43 competitions, was the ‘Most Valuable Player’ in a team that won 33 out of 35 games.


Ricardo Walther is the only one leaving the triple-team in 2021/22. Dang Qiu, a German national player, joins the team from ASV Grünwettersbach. Boll, Kristiansson, Källberg and Achanta remain loyal.

Timo Boll will be the club’s star player next season. Between seasons, Timo Boll won gold at the European Championships in Warsaw. Boll emphasized his outstanding form just before the Tokyo Olympics.
