What is Table Tennis Team World Cup 2018?

Team World Cup is the second most prestigious team tournament after the World Table Tennis Championships (WTTC). It will be hosted by Table Tennis England and will take place at the Copper Box Arena on London’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
What are the dates and venue for the competition?
The ITTF Team World Cup 2018 will be held at the Copper Box Arena on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, from February 22-25 2018.

Each team will have 5 players.
Which teams have qualified?
There will be a total of 24 teams – 12 men’s and 12 women’s, made up of the various continental champions and the best-performing teams at the 2016 World Team Championships.
The qualified teams are:
- Men’s – China, Germany, Brazil, USA, Egypt and Australia (continental champions); Japan, South Korea, England, France, Hong Kong and Sweden (qualified through World Championships).
- Women’s – China, Romania, Brazil, USA, Egypt, Australia (continental champions); Japan, Chinese Taipei, North Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong (qualified through World Championships); England (hosts).
What is Chinese line-up?
1. For Chinese Men Team
a) First spot for Ma Long. Ma Long will lead Chinese Men Team.
b) Second spot is for Fan Zhendong
c) Third spot is for Xu Xin
d) Lin Gaoyuan, Zhou Yu, Fang Bo and Yan An competed for the 4th spot and Lin Gaoyuan earned that spot in an internal competition.
e) The 5th spot is open to U21 players and Yu Ziyang won that spot.
The Chinese team will be sending Ma Long, Fan Zhendong, Xu Xin, Lin Gaoyuan and Yu Ziyang to compete in the men’s team competition.
Zhang Jike is officially out of the competition!
2. Chinese Women Team to Team World Cup
a) Ding Ning is the leader
b) Liu Shiwen gets the second position
c) Zhu Yuling is obviously the 3rd position
d) Chen Xingtong and Wang Manyu end up top 2 among 7 players and will join Ding Ning, Liu Shiwen, and Zhu Yuling to compete in the 2018 Team World Cup.
The world ranking number 1, Chen Meng get the disappointing 3rd place in the trials, failed to advance to the official team.
Coach Li Sun (head coach of Women Team) provided there could be the replacement of the next younger generation in the Women Team A.
The younger stars Chen Xingtong and Wang Manyu who have recently get some success on the international scene.
